Peter Watkins, M.Div. has been a spiritual director since 2012, trained in the six-year certification program at Sacred Ground in Minnesota. He is ecumenical in his approach and is trained in giving the Spiritual Exercises of Ignatius Loyola.  Peter has been a faculty member and a supervisor in spiritual direction formation programs in St. Paul, Minnesota since 2016, and is currently working as part of the spiritual direction program in at the Franciscan Spirituality Center in Lacrosse, Wisconsin.  He is a member of the contemplative outreach program at the College of St. Catherine, and works with aspirants who are discerning a call to holy orders in the Episcopal Church of Minnesota.  He regularly give retreats around the Twin Cities.  Peter taught high school philosophy and theology for more than thirty years and retired in 2021.  His passions include running, going on pilgrimages, writing, and teaching.  He is a life-long learner and the father of three sons.
